Employment Opportunities

We are accepting applications for positions as they become available.

Deputy Sheriff - Patrol

Deputy  Sheriff - Jail (Corrections)

Deputy Sheriff - E911 Dispatcher (Communications)

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age; have a high school diploma or equivalent; be of good character; be in good health and physical condition and pass a physical examination; possess a valid Virginia driver's license and have a good driving record; must not have a criminal record or DUI conviction; be willing to submit to a background investigation; must possess keyboarding / computer skills; and complete the required basic training within one year of hire date.  

Please note that Deputy Sheriffs assigned to the Jail and E911 Dispatcher will be cross-trained in both areas.

Salary consideration will be given to applicants who are DCJS certified in Virginia.
