The Patrol Division is supervised by the Sheriff,
who is assisted by Sergeant Michael Kessinger and four Corporals

Sergeant Michael Kessinger
Corporal David House
Corporal Stewart Hudson
Corporal Richard Marks
Corporal Marquise T. Smith

Deputy Sheriffs assigned to this division often come from the ranks of Deputies assigned to the Jail, and are cross trained both in law enforcement duties as well as those specific to the jail environment.  Their duties include community policing, crime prevention and detection, accident prevention by enforcement of speed limits and wearing of safety restraints, and the detection of intoxicated drivers.  Deputies respond to all emergency 911 calls, whether they are for fire, rescue, or other calls for citizen assistance.
